This policy describes the GoWindow iOS app. GoWindow does not sell personal data, show ads, or track you across apps and websites. GoWindow uses location data to provide weather and air-quality results, and diagnostic data to find and fix failures.

Location and weather

GoWindow uses your precise location to request weather from Apple WeatherKit. For air-quality lookups, the app sends coordinates to the GoWeather backend so it can request AQI from the active provider. The backend does not receive your WeatherKit forecast.

AQI requests also include a random install identifier. It is not an Apple ID, advertising ID, email address, or device serial number. The backend hashes it before using it for service limits, and uninstalling the app resets it.

Calendar

If you tap "Add to Calendar," GoWindow asks iOS for write-only Calendar access. The app can add an event but cannot read your existing calendar. The event contains the sport, best-window time, score, place name, and place coordinate so Calendar can offer "Time to Leave." GoWindow does not send the event or your Calendar data to the GoWeather backend. After the event is added, iOS and your chosen calendar account control its storage and syncing.

Purchases

Apple processes GoWindow subscriptions through StoreKit. The app reads current purchase and entitlement status to unlock Pro and restore purchases. GoWindow does not receive your payment-card details or send purchase history to the GoWeather backend.

App diagnostics

The iOS app uses Sentry to diagnose crashes, failed requests, slow operations, and launches that get stuck. Diagnostic events may include the app version and build, device and operating-system details, performance timings, error details, and recent app or network events.

GoWindow disables Sentry's default collection of personal information and removes user identifiers and sensitive fields before sending an event. That includes fields for coordinates, locations, URLs, authentication tokens, email addresses, and device identifiers. Sentry is used for reliability, not advertising or cross-app tracking.

Providers and retention

Weather comes from Apple WeatherKit. AQI comes from attributed air-quality providers through the GoWeather backend. Sentry processes app diagnostics on our behalf.

The backend keeps cache entries, service-limit counters, and operational logs only as long as needed to run and protect the AQI service. Sentry records are kept only as long as needed to diagnose reliability problems. We do not combine these records into an advertising profile or sell them to anyone.

Your choices

• You can deny or revoke Location and Calendar access in iOS Settings.
• You can email us with privacy questions or deletion requests.
